Carolina Beach Parks & Recreation Survey: Submit Survey Form
Carolina Beach Parks & Recreation partners with local youth leagues: Pleasure Island Youth Baseball & Softball Association (Please call the Recreation Center for contact information) Mike Chappell Park is equipped with two tennis courts, two sand volleyball courts, playground equipment, dog park, baseball and softball fields, and soccer field. If you are planning a picnic you will enjoy the Carolina Beach Lake Park or McDonald Park with gazebos, picnic areas and playground equipment. Also located at Mike Chappell Park is a new Skateboard Park. Hours of operation are 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days a week. The Skateboard Park is unsupervised and skaters skate at their own risk. The rules of the park are clearly posted at the site.

The Carolina Beach Recreation Center provides various activities with hours of operation to fit anyone’s schedule. It is equipped with indoor basketball court, racquetball court, full weight room, cardiovascular room, fooseball and ping-pong tables, lockers and showers.
The Youth Program offers Summer Day Camp (ages 6-10), Basketball League (ages 6-16, December to March), and is also partnered with area Soccer and Baseball leagues.
The Recreation Center also plans Annual Special Events, such as Valentine's Day Dance, Easter Egg Hunt, Youth Pier fishing Tournament, Halloween Carnival, Annual Doll Show and Annual TumbleGym Competition (gymnastics). Hours
