REFUSE
REMOVAL
Waste Industries, Inc. removes household refuse. Only refuse in the
proper container will be removed. Refuse should be placed in the roll
out container and recyclables in the small tub. Properties east of
Hwy 421 are serviced on Mondays and properties west of Hwy 421 are serviced
on Tuesdays. Regular residential rate is $18.39 a month for once a week pick
up. For properties on the North end, south through Woody Hewett, all
of Lake Park Blvd and Carolina Beach Ave. South with 4 units or more, refuse
will be removed 2 times a week from May 15 thru Oct. 15. Pick up days
will be Monday & Thursday with a charge of $26.39 a month that includes
roll back service. Other optional services are also available. Please
put your cart curbside the night before scheduled service. IF YOU HAVE

REPLACEMENT
OF CONTAINERS
Replacement
containers due to loss or damage shall be charged to
the owner or occupant of the premises at the following
rates:
$80
for residential carts
$30
for recycling containers
On Wednesdays Town employees will remove non-household refuse placed at curbside. A
red tag will be placed on items showing the charge for removal and/or other
instructions. The customer has the option to remove the items; however,
items left over 24 hours can be removed by the Town at the property owner's
expense.
The
charges for removal are:
$60 per load (yard debris, etc)
$40 for less than full load
$35 per freon appliance
$25 per non-freon appliance
Vegetative Debris - free pickup once a quarter for pickup truck load or less
Other charges at the discretion of the Sanitation Supervisor.

HOW DO I RECYCLE?
1. Remove and discard lids and caps from glass
and plastic containers (paper labels DONOT need to be removed).
2. Drain and rinse liquid from all containers
before placing them in your recycle bin.
3. Crush plastic bottles as much as possible
4. Store newspapers together. Separate
from other materials to keep them clean and dry. Put them in a paper grocery
sack before placing them in your bin.
5. Set your recycle bin at curbside by 7am
on your regular collection day.
6. Bring
in the bin after collection.
