The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has issued a disaster declaration, making low-interest loans available to businesses and residents in Carolina Beach and Kure Beach affected by Potential Tropical Cyclone 8 (PTC8) from September 16-20, 2024.

The SBA will open a Recovery Center at the Recreation Center, located behind Town Hall, at 1121 N Lake Park Blvd, Carolina Beach, on Monday, October 21st at 11 a.m. Following opening day, the Recovery Center will be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Monday-Friday and from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday. The center will cease operations on Monday, October 28 at 4 p.m.
