If you need to establish water/sewer/trash services in your name, an application will need to be completed. If you are leasing your location, the the first and signature page of the lease for tenants will need to accompany the application. If you have purchased a home, please include a copy of the signed HUD statement with your application. All applications require the presentation of a government issued picture ID. A utility credit check will be done to determine the amount of the security deposit required. All new accounts will have a non-refundable $55.00 set up fee.
Water and sewer bills are mailed on the last business day of each month and bills are due by the 15th of each month. Bills are itemized showing the cost for water and sewer usage plus an access fee that is based on meter size. Late fees and any miscellaneous charges are listed as a separate item on the bill. The access fee and late charges are billed even if the water is turned off and/or no one is living in the property unless the house has been condemned or demolished and the meter has been removed. Refuse and Recycling is also billed along with stormwater.
